Humberto Brenes

“Doyle Brunson” of Costa Rica, Humberto Brenes is the professional poker player with the highest results of his country. Born on 8th May 1951, he succeed along his poker player career to win 2 World Series of Poker bracelets (1993 - Limit Texas Hold’em and Pot Limit Omaha) and many other titles.
Humberto Brenes begin his gambling career playing baccarat, and in 1974 he started to play poker in some tournaments. In 1988 he was devoted player of poker tournaments. Since today Humberto Brenes played 3 final tables from World Poker Tour and in 2002 he won a Jack Binion World Poker Open ($502.460) tournament, beating Erik Siedel. Brenes is on of the most charismatic face from the poker world, well known for his unique dressing style.
Two of his brothers Alex Brenes and Erick Brenes follow his example and started to play poker, having winnings in the World Poker Tour. Since now Brenes won more than $5.300.000 from poker tournaments.
